Media Link is in the beginning stages of developing a market research
tool which will help our clients to better understand their target
markets. This tool will help our clients to understand what makes
their target market exhibit certain consumer preferences. There are
quite a number of 'behavioural' personality tests, but very few 'attitudinal',
and this is what Media Link will offer.
Our
new market research tool is based on two well-researched and empirically
validated theories of behaviour which suggest that it is possible
to predict consumer behaviour using attitudinal variables and a
variety of individual difference variables (ie how one individual
differs from another). A significant amount of research has found
that a person's attitudes will in fact predict their behaviour and
it has been concluded that there are significant associations between
attitudes and behaviour.
Media
Link is currently gathering data to test the validity and reliability
of this new tool and we're aiming to make the sample representative
across the adult consumer population by targeting consumers across
a wide age and economic status range.
